The Model of Perfection

I finally got around to seeing my Goblin's new model, and she is freaking GAWGEOUS. I love it so, so much. The S.E.L.F.I.E. cam emotes are amazing, with no clipping at all. I don't know if the Worgen models turned out as good, but I really don't care, because the Goblin models are just so fantastically superb. I may not be able to play much now, what with all the emoting and screenshotting I have to do.

Neoclassical

I started Classic WoW knowing that it would be old and new to me. Old, since I've been playing for 8+ years, and new because I started playing in Cataclysm and had never seen Vanilla. I expected to be surprised by the way things looked, familiar yet different, and by some UI changes. I was around for a lot of the big changes: character-wide mounts and pets, transmog, the wardrobe, faction-tagging mobs, etc., so I figured it would be more nostalgic than drastic differences. For the most part, it is as I thought it would be, but I have been delighted by all of the minor differences that I hadn't known about, like the scrawling of the quest text as it appears and waiting until the text all appears before the
"Accept" quest button is interactable. But the thing that really made me laugh was when I opened my map:
...and realized that full-size was the only option. I didn't even realize I was taking that little arrow in the corner for granted! Besides turning on Auto-loot (available in Classic, thank goodness!), resizing my map was one of the first things I always do on a new character, I feel claustrophobic when the map is full-size and I can't see where I'm going (because, of course I'm running with the map open). Classic is a hoot so far and I haven't even reached level 2 yet. I'm not really eager to really level a character and see how weapon leveling works, among other surprises, but it is fun to see and I'm glad they brought it back. I didn't stay up late enough to see the night sky in Orgrimmar, but I did catch the sunset and my brother was right, the Drag is amazingly dark.

On to Mechagon!

I feel so behind after playing only sporadically so far this summer. I logged on to go to Nazjatar to get started on rep grinds and found that other players were already flying. So, needless to say, I am a little behind on part II of Pathfinder, but I am getting there. Eventually.

The Cycle of Life Can Be Cruel...

A water turtle was on our sidewalk in front of our house for quite a while recently and the next morning we found a hole with broken/torn egg shells scattered around it. When my brother heard about it he said "So, the turtles didn't make it to the water, I guess.".
While seagulls would be the obvious culprit based solely on my World of Warcraft experience (crabs are too slow and awkward) my dad says raccoons are likely responsible, which does make a lot more sense for this area.

Well, Color Me Delighted

I can see the fish head in Ghost Raptor form -albeit slightly askew- now! I did also catch the Severed Azurefin Head this time, but the red one matched the new transmog better. I like the forward-facing appearance of the fish head when the character is looking down in the "working" animation.

Finally, the Recognition I Deserve

I know my Goblin is just doing her idle animation in her nameplate, but I like that it looks like she's hanging her head in shame at the terrible pun. Blizzard should have added a facepalm animation just for this achievement.

Fun with Fish Heads

I forgot they added in fish heads to the Darkmoon Faire until I did the fishing quest this time and got a couple of the Severed Crimsonscale Heads. I guess there's a blue one I need to fish up, too, although I don't really think I need to worry about it complementing my outfit.  It does make for fun screenshots, though:
And I really like the way my Goblin's braids poke through! Especially since her braids bounce when she runs:

Adventures With Orphans-- AKA --Children's Week

I'm happy they put in new quests for Children's Week in BfA, but I still feel duty-bound to complete the quests with my older orphans, too. Although I don't understand why they're still hanging out at the orphanage 7-8 years after our first adventure. Shouldn't they have jobs by now? Although I was delighted to notice Salandria has a Red Hawkstrider mount! Has she always had this? I don't remember seeing it before. I checked and my Orcish orphin rides a Brown Wolf. I'm so glad they didn't give him a dumb horse! My favorite Children's Week quests are the BElf ones in Outland after Warlords, when I got the Ever-Shifting Mirror that lets me show Salandria the same locations in Draenor. I like doing this each year but it would be neat if Blizzard put in some quests for this instead of it being just a silly RP thing I do for fun (and screenshots). --EDIT: I also liked the new Orgrimmar orphan quest to visit the Orgrimmar Embassy to meet some of our new allies. It was quick and easy and brought the new content into the old questline, which was cool. ALSO..I just noticed that they mention on Wowhead that all orphans now have their own mounts, so apparently that is new this year. I...read quickly but not completely, apparently. END EDIT--

Oh, and as for the new quests...I ADORE Azala and her mount, and I loved the quests, too.  Also, Jani is the best loa, hands down.

WHEE!

I like the new roller coaster at the Darkmoon Faire, but why is there an Alliance shield on the back of the car? I want a Horde car, please. It's cool they added a new way to get the WHEE! buff, but I think I'll stick to standing on the carousel while clearing my bags of rep tokens.

HEY!......

...Actually...yeah, okay, fair point. You're right. It'll never happen again. This expansion, at least.

Hanging Out in Tanaris...

...would be a terrible pun to use as the title of this post. Be sure to change it to something more dignified before publishing. </End Note to Self>

What a great quest! A quest with a pet reward (Feathers) AND an opportunity for silly screenshots? Yes, please!

Zandalar Forever!

I finally got to use my BfA boost for a Zandalari Troll Druid! I actually wanted to name her Ez'Kiki but I couldn't use an apostrophe, unfortunately. I'm going to try out Balance and see if I can get used to it again. I like the Moonkin form and I especially love the Travel/Flight forms.

What a Long, Strange Trip Back Home

I really like all of the new holiday hearthstones, but this one is my favorite so far. I can't tell if it does something different on each use, but my Tauren blew a kiss at the end and my Goblin doesn't seem to do that. I love the fireworks on this one, though, and the Lunar Festival hearthstone, and I can't wait to see the rest of the holiday hearthstones for the year.
My brother asked if there was going to be a meta achievement for collecting each holiday hearthstone, and although there doesn't seem to be anything right now, I think they ought to make one. The Children's Festival hearthstone should require PvP, too, just to make the whole thing feel like a challenge. :D
Or maybe not.
I still think it would be a fun reminder of the reason I did all of the holiday achievements in the first place; a nostalgic nod to the achievement that actually made me feel like I'd achieved something.

Home Is Where the Horde Is - Part 2

This is the video I'd been planning on making ever since I did the To Be Forsaken quest line and realized that I didn't need to be concerned about the faction conflict plot lines anymore. The Goldtusk Inn quest line also reminded me why the Horde is my home.

S.E.L.F.I.E. Time!

This was my third trip through the Gnomeregan pet dungeon (I'll never get used to saying that). It's getting easier now that I bought a couple of pets off the Auction House that I needed, but I'm still looking forward to collecting the rest of the pets and being done with it.

I started this post a week ago and got sidetracked, and then I haven't played at all since then, so I don't really remember what else I was going to say about it, other than I finally timed it right and caught the Gnome with his camera out. I never realized holding the camera was the /point animation.
